I started yoga for exercise but stayed for the mental and emotional benefits. While in college, it became an essential way to help me feel grounded and manage stress. In my class we will focus on linking breath to movement. I work to help you refine poses in new ways that will feel good in your body and build strength.
I teach to share the power of deep breathing and self connection. Time on your mat provides a moment to focus inward. I believe when you listen to your inner voice it will tell you what you genuinely need, and lead you down the path of living a truly fulfilled life. Your personal practice will give you the capability to feel lighter in your body and more free in your mind.
Things that make my life sacred include my family, time spent outdoors, and my spiritual practice. Off the mat I love to travel and experience new places and cultures. I also enjoy reading and going to concerts.
I am a certified yoga teacher at the 200 hr level, with training in vinyasa power and restorative yoga.
