In times of profound uncertainty, we must remember and deeply connect to what we consider sacred.

There has been no other moment in our collective history that we have been called to pause. To be still, get quiet, and chill.

We cannot outrun the place that we’ve collectively found ourselves in.

Here we are.

Right now, our cultural inclination to push more, go harder, grind more, do more, more, more, more will lead us where? We are at home now. Where is there to go but inward?

This moment calls for us to be brave, grounded, and steady. To acknowledge what is. To rest for the sake of our individual and collective physical and mental health. To feel because there is so much to feel.  And to do so within a container of community.

It takes courage to make space to be still even when we are home.  To prioritize presence as productivity, especially right now. To honor rest as an essential form of fuel, to revel in quiet in a world that exalts noise, and to gaze inward instead of point fingers outwardly.

Our opening of  Sacred Chill {at home}  is a courageous offering. It’s not a live stream because we want you to create your own schedule of engagement as your body, heart, spirit, current work, and family needs.  We do recommend you make a schedule for and maintain your practice at least three times a week.

Our  co-founders, Octavia and Meryl (O+M) are honored to share this sacred space with you now and from wherever you are.

{My body needs rest. My heart needs soothing}

Explore the benefits of stillness, relaxation, and rest in this class.  Designed to revitalize your body and mind, practice releasing and receiving. Class includes completely supported long held (at least 5 minutes) postures. You may want to practice in silence or play your favorite calming music in the background.

All Levels.

{My body needs stillness and to ‘stretch’. My heart needs to feel.}

This style of yoga is relatively still and focuses on passive poses (or relaxing the body and muscles) combined with holding poses longer while focusing breath, sensation, and internal movement.  Practice being with sustained intensity. Many of the poses are seated or lying on your back or stomach. Longer holds in the pose help facilitate the slow and safe opening of connective tissues like tendons and ligaments. Feelings and emotions can ‘rise up’ in yin style practices. Breathing and feeling through this style yoga is an incredible tool.

All Levels.

{My body needs movement. My heart needs balance}.

Begin seated or resting mindfully on your back and work up to an accessible flow that will focus on engaging the body and mind in preparation for a practice in stillness.  A perfect way to start or end your day, you’ll balance strong and sacred movement.

All Levels.

{My mind needs to quiet. My heart needs to connect.}

Our meditation offerings consist of live-recorded classes from our Monday night meditation series. Each class is a 10-minute talk introducing important concepts to meditation, and then a 20-minute guided meditation. You will also find short 10-minute guided practices to use on a daily basis! This is great to engage and quiet the mind.

All Levels.

{My mind and heart need SPACE.}

In this class, we use techniques: settling/initial relaxation, body rotation and/or rotation of consciousness, breath and energy awareness, and visualization that lead to the state of consciousness known as Yoga Nidra. This experience provides a place to release and invite an opening to rest and be still within.

All Levels.
