I invite you to take refuge in your present moment experience so that you can discover the peace and stillness within. I invite you to explore your felt sense of strength, stability, introspection, and spaciousness within the body, while using breath and sensation as vehicles to deeper states of meditation. I welcome you to meet yourself with compassion, acceptance, and lovingkindness.
I teach because I believe that we already have exactly what we need inside of us. Yoga turns on the inner light that can get diminished by daily stressors and life challenges. Yoga teaches us that the wisdom of the human condition and the mind/body relationship when explored, can lead to self-awareness, self-acceptance, and ultimately greater compassion for both self and others.
Nature is sacred to me. My family is sacred to me. Human stories are sacred to me. Off the mat I like to experience life through the eyes of my two children or go hear my husband play music. A nice cup of coffee and a good book go a long way too.
I completed my 200 hour YTT with the Pranakriya School in 2013 and my 500 yoga therapy certification with the Center for Integrative Yoga Studies in 2016. I am also a certified yoga therapist with IAYT. I am a licensed psychotherapist specializing in the treatment of trauma, depression, anxiety, chronic pain, and body image issues using somatic psychotherapy and integrative yoga therapy.
